Tess Koenig is a New York City-based yoga, meditation, mindful movement teacher, and wellness consultant. After moving to NYC from Atlanta eleven years ago, Tess was working an all-consuming desk job and turned to yoga to reconnect with herself. As her career as a food television producer was taking off, yoga kept her grounded. In 2017, she stepped away from the corporate world to deepen her own practice and pursue her first official teacher training. It was then that her personal practice blossomed, and she wanted to help others recognize the power and virtue of yoga for themselves.

Tess holds her 500-hour yoga certification and has completed hundreds of hours of training, including an intensive mentorship program under the guidance of Peloton's founding yoga instructor. She has been a senior teacher and mentor on teacher training staffs and guided students in pursuing their own certifications. In addition to teaching virtually and in person group classes, Tess teaches yoga privately to celebrity clients throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Hamptons.

Off the yoga mat, Tess is most in her element in the kitchen, running marathons, and holding space for others to discover their best selves. She was most recently a founding WW (formerly Weight Watchers) Digital 360 Coach and known as a food and activity enthusiast who works with her audience to find joy and balance in their relationship with food and movement. Tess aims to empower her audience to feel less alone on their own wellness journeys, and does so by coaching through social content, teaching attainable behavior change principles to reach goals, and practicing the balanced life she preaches.

Outside of her work as a teacher and consultant, Tess is a proud advocate for ending food waste and food insecurity through her work with City Harvest, New York City’s largest food rescue organization. She has been featured on Well+Good, Good Housekeeping, Oprah’s Your Life in Focus, JetBlue, obé fitness, PopSugar and more as a thought leader in the wellness space. She loves to travel, cook nourishing meals, dance it out to all kinds of music, and meditate with her orange tabby rescue, Nyla at home in Brooklyn, New York.
